Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, information you submit in forms or correspondence, event registrations, volunteer participation and service-hour records, donation records, and communication preferences. Assistance requests may include family or disability-related information you choose to provide. Please provide only information needed for your request and do not send medical records or other sensitive documents through ordinary website forms or SMS.
3. Website and payment information
Our website is hosted by Wix. Wix and services used on the site may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, and cookies or similar identifiers to operate, secure, and measure site use. Manage cookies through any available site consent settings and your browser; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Donations or registrations completed through external services, including Givebutter, are also subject to those services’ privacy policies. Payment providers process payment information under their own policies.
4. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, administer programs and assistance requests, manage events and volunteers, document service hours, process and acknowledge donations, maintain records, protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations. We use communication preferences to send updates you have requested or consented to receive. We do not treat an inquiry, donation, or event registration alone as SMS marketing consent.
5. Information sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may use service providers to host the website, maintain records, process transactions, deliver communications on our behalf, and support our operations, limited to their service roles. For program administration, relevant information may be provided to participating schools, centers, or community partners when needed to fulfill your request or with your permission. 6. SMS privacy and consent protection
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties. SMS consent will not be sold, rented, transferred, or exchanged, and cannot be used by another organization for its own messaging. Messaging providers and carriers process message-delivery data only to support the Samantha’s Purpose messaging service, not for independent marketing.
7. SMS program, choices, and support
When you separately opt in, Samantha’s Purpose may send recurring texts about fundraising, donation drives, events, volunteer opportunities, and program updates, consistent with your consent. Messages may use automated technology. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing, donating, registering, receiving assistance, or participating. Reply STOP to unsubscribe; a final confirmation may be sent. 8. Retention, security, and your requests
Information is retained as needed for the purpose collected, program and donation records, consent and opt-out documentation, and applicable legal obligations. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to change communication preferences. We may verify your identity and retain records required by law or needed to honor opt-outs. Email subscriptions can be stopped through the unsubscribe option in the email or by contacting us. SMS and email preferences are managed separately.
9. Children and family information
Parents or guardians should submit information for children who cannot provide it themselves. Our general website is not intended to solicit personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information without appropriate parental permission, contact us so we can review and address it. Please obtain appropriate permission before providing another person’s personal information.
