Cerebral Palsy Awareness is the FOCUS of this organization and the BASE to everything we strive to accomplish:
There are 17 million families are affected by Cerebral Palsy. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Cerebral Palsy is the NUMBER ONE physical/motor disability in children and the 2nd leading disability in children, after Autism. However, the one question we hear all too often is "What is Cerebral Palsy?" We have come together to change that.
SUPPORT & ASSISTANCE
DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE PRESSURE OF BEING THE PARENT OR PRIMARY CARETAKER OF A CHILD/ADULT WITH CEREBRAL PALSY OR TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY HAS BECOME VERY APPARENT.
TO PROVIDE SOME RELIEF, SAMANTHA'S PURPOSE HAS STARTED THE HELPING HANDS CAMPAIGN TO:
- Sponsor a minimum of four (4) hours of much needed, in-home respite care. The respite care will provide the parents or primary caregivers the chance to take some time for self-care, with confidence that their child(ren) are being properly cared for.
- Provide financial assistance with the purchase of groceries, medical supplies, or personal hygiene items, to the families that have experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19.
