LIGHT UP FOR CEREBRAL PALSY - MARCH 25th

March 25, 2013 was the 1st ever official National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, thanks to the efforts of Reaching for the Stars and Senators Isakson and Casey.  (Senate Resolution 89 - 113th Congress)

Since 2014, Samantha's Purpose goes all out during the month of March to raise Cerebral Palsy Awareness.  One of the things we do is reach out to the community and have them illuminate well known landmarks and buildings GREEN on March 25th.

In 2018, we were presented with the opportunity to partner with The Make Lemon-Aide Foundation for CP and we did not hesitate.   We are excited to be partnering with them again and

2019 WILL BE OUR 6TH YEAR!!!!

We currently have commitments from:

  • Freedom Tower - Miami-Dade College

  • Phillip & Patricia Frost Science Museum

  • City of Coral Gables - City Hall

  • Miracle Mile (between LeJeune Rd. & Douglas Rd.) - City of Coral Gables

  • Village of Palmetto Bay - City Hall

  • Brickell World Plaza (600 Brickell)

----------------------------------------

The Make Lemon-Aide Foundation is a national foundation headquartered in Atlanta with the mission to raise Cerebral Palsy (CP) Awareness until everyone knows about it, raise funding for advanced treatments for children alive today and bring the CP community together treating them special and not forgotten.  Their founder, 19-year-old Lauren Walier, who fights CP daily was inspired at 12 years after learning there's NO federal funding for CP research affecting 17 million children and adults. She declared being the voice for those with CP who may never have their voice.  It's known as the forgotten disability. Everything starts with awareness first that’s why this support is important to us.  The Make Lemon Aide Foundation for CP is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
